"I've done events across the country, and few compare to the incredible experience that was created for the Recovery Gala. It is the perfect balance of engagement and experience that will not be soon forgotten by the attendees." Chris Marshall of Sans Bar
"This Gala has set the standard for upscale sober events, and I along with the rest in this movement eagerly await Lori's next project." Amy Dresner, Author
“I didn’t know I needed this until I got here. Thank you so much for giving us the container for us to feel safe and heard without all the noise that usual comes with these events.” Josh
“Highlighting mental health as a normal thing is what we need more of. This event was real and authentic and will be the event for our community for years to come.” Rachelle
“Everything was thought of! And just for us. I felt so special and seen.” Amanda
"This event means something, you mean something. Can't wait for next year.” David
"The impact of the event for me and my guys, was a new experience. Most of my guys are new to recovery and to be invited and attend an event as classy as this one is huge. It teaches them there is another way to have fun in sobriety. As well as all the support you feel from a room full of people that is true fellowship. We had an amazing time, thank you again.” Harold
"I have been clean and sober for 10 years. I have been a volunteer, paid employee and am now on the board of directors for a local non-profit organization... winning an award and getting to know invited guests and the entertainment was a spectacular way to spend an evening sober! It also makes me aware that "It all Matters" we are there to help the community and help each other live life sober, happy joyous and free. Thank you for all you do!!!!" Sandy
"I felt honored to be a part of something so important and special. Not only a part of, but feeling like I was with like-minded, caring, and strong human beings. That feeling of "this is exactly where I'm supposed to be." It was even more special being with my sober girlfriends, they're my main support system and it was a dream sharing this experience and magical night with such amazing women. From hearing a little bit about the award winners' backgrounds, where they were, what happened, and where they're at now in their lives, to hearing the keynote speaker's story, struggles, and strength. All I could feel is inspiration, serenity, and most importantly gratitude. I'm grateful for this journey and for everyone who helps in our community. Thank you for this wonderful Gala." Steve
"For me, (a recovering alcoholic) having an event that respects those that struggle with a past addiction by not offering alcoholic beverages that dilute the mind is so very much appreciated. There are major challenges of living a sober life in a town that revolves around gambling, drinking, partying etc. It is extremely hard for those of us recovering from an addiction to find events where temptation isn't right in our faces. We are confronted with temptation daily. Have you ever noticed that alcohol is placed throughout the entire grocery store, not just the liquor isle?
This event offered a safe place for like-minded people in recovery to join together and celebrate our recovery accomplishments. It also provides individuals with additional resources to continue their journey." Tracy
"Recovery safe events are far and few between and are important in the recovery community. I am with The Empowerment Center a treatment program for women. The best part of my night was having a Board member, staff, volunteers, and two clients that graduated our program. Everyone had a fantastic time!" Roxanne
"As a human who identifies as in recovery and also one who chooses to live alcohol free, I deeply appreciate the idea of "Dry Social Club". The opportunity to dress up and connect with other humans who I know support me, and to be in an environment where everyone is drinking mocktails is a one-of-a-kind experience. I would love to see more events, bars and restaurants make it common practice to incorporate mocktails into their menu." Honored Guest
"This year, thanks to Spine Nevada, I was able to fill a table with couples and friends, including a friend who returned to active use. This sponsorship helped me to pass it along by purchasing a table for individuals who are new to recovery and still in a program. The feedback from guests was inspiring! For example, the friend who returned to use has long felt frustrated by exclusion of people on MAT in the recovery community and reported feeling that there is a place for them in recovery after attending. Additionally, the new recoverees were delighted to dress up for an event that celebrated their experiences, rather than shamed them. Other guests at our table loved the Sans Bar and the speaker. Thank you to everyone involved in making this special event happen!" Lisa
